Which problem are you trying to solve?
One of the most important issue in Alzheimer's Disease is getting lost and forget the disease. The missing cases
cause the panic. This panic is our problem to solve.
How are you going to solve the problem?
Our solution is a wearable technology device that patient will wear and a web application which relative can see the
location with map. And recieve an SMS to given relative's phone number.
What is the impact of your project?
With this project the patient's relative will overcome the panic and stressful process about where their patients
are. The device will be so small that patient could not feel the weight.
How can the project be manufactured in the OpenLab?
The prototype has built right now but in order to improve the device, the size of the product should be less. And the
more professional web application should be created.
Describe your project in detail
You probably know that Alzheimer's Disease is one of the most powerful and prevalent diseases in the world. As from
now, the researches and experiments only postpones the effects of Alzheimer's Disease. Unfortunately, the effects
cannot be removed. People who has this disease also has ,most commonly, dementia(forgetfulness). Patients forget their
spouses,siblings or friends. Even in later stages the patient may forget his/her disease and go outside without telling
anyone. The patient sometimes cannot realize what is dangerous for them. For example if the patient cannot swim, he/she
should stay away from the water. But if he/she has dementia, this can be forgettable easily. And this possibilty causes
lots of panic and fear of losing the patients to the relatives. This project has two stages. One is wearable technology
part. The device should be integrated to the patient's shoes or belt buckle. The device should be invisible from
outside for not to cause any abusement. And also patient does no need to feel the weight of the device as well for not
to unwear the device. Device gets the location with antenna and sends to database. And with that location data, the
device sends the SMS to the relative. The second part is concerned with the relative. The web application shows the
location on the map with date and time. Every relative should have a unique username and password according to enter the
system. This is a security precaution. In the future we desired to improve our project with much more features, like
heartbeat, body temperature... At the end we want relatives have a less stressful process about their relatives and
protect the patient from possible dangers.

and see this property by the police or hospitals so that the preparation of a copy of the application of their own with
their ability to know if the patient carries a device ... and that Emergency precautions
project differ from other projects on the market? Is the difference that your project is open source? The direct
connection to a relative is a great!
Emergency precautions cannot be realized by the patient himself/herself. And the danger may change from
patient to patient. But the information can be sent to the hospitals and police stations as you said. Thank you so much

The difference about the project will be offer this device as a wearable technology product. I mean the
patient will not know heshe wears the device. So the device will be reliesed as integrated to a shoe heel or the belt
buckle. Alse about the open source; we think that the project will be an open source one in a while. Thank you for your
