Electronic bracelet for a heart rate

over 7 years ago by infolil

Which problem are you trying to solve?

existing heart rate monitors are expensive

How are you going to solve the problem?

design a low cost bracelet that tracks the wearer's heart rate and notifies him in case of problems

What is the impact of your project?

a low cost electronic bracelet affordable to measure their heart rate, more lives can be saved

How can the project be manufactured in the OpenLab?

build a prototype of the proposed system after gathering and soldering the required components

Describe your project in detail

The e-Health domain is a topical issue, with several products focusing on patient health.
The objective of
this project is to produce an electronic bracelet that measures the heart rate of the wearer, the electronic system is
based on the Arduino Mini Pro board which is small and very portable, it is connected to a sensor that measures the
heart rate. The card sends the frequency via Bluetooth to an application developed for Android Smartphones. The work
consists of 5 parts:
1- Study of the existent and understanding of various cardiac phenomena
 2- Extract the heart
rate value from the voltage measured by the sensor
3- Design an Arduino microcontroller based electrical system to
read the sensor value and send it via Bluetooth
4- Develop an Android interface (based on Material Design) to display
heart rate.
5- In the event of detection of cardiac irregularity, notify the user (in a continuous and indiscreet

Great idea .. It is possible to add the option of sending the dangerous results of the heartbeat to the user's
family and this help to speed save of the patient's life.. in this case his family should load the application
